Relationships influence behaviors at work. Expectations of each other, perceptions of the intentions of either, distributions of assignments, readiness to conform or to rebel, enthusiasm to contribute, etc., are to some extent outcomes of these relationships. Attitudes and motivations influence, and are influenced by, the nature of these relationships. Relationships also contribute to stress and conflicts at work, which in turn, affect quality of work life of individuals as well as the quality of organizational outputs, measured in terms of customer satisfaction, competitive advantage, innovation, and so on. We can say that Relations add in achieving organizational goals and objectives, and they can also dismantle different organizational structures. Therefore these Relations should be nourished and nurtured well to achieve the common organizational goal.

Paolo Mancosu provides an original investigation of historical and systematic aspects of the notions of abstraction and infinity and their interaction. A familiar way of introducing concepts in mathematics rests on so-called definitions by abstraction. Hume's Principle introduces the concept of number by stating that two concepts have the same number if and only if the objects falling under each one of them can be put in one-one correspondence. This principle is at the core of neo-logicism. In the first two chapters of the book, Mancosu provides a historical analysis of the mathematical uses and foundational discussion of definitions by abstraction up to Frege, Peano, and Russell. In the second part of the book, Mancosu shows that unconventional assignments of numbers to infinite sets offer alternatives to Hume's Principle and can be exploited to provide surprisingly novel perspectives on neo-logicism.

Because social workers routinely deal with complex, multifaceted problems that defy clear definition or resolution, educational efforts to prepare students for practice must intentionally target the skills necessary to engage in this type of reasoning. This study evaluated the influence of case -based instruction on MSW students’ reflective judgment, an aspect of critical thinking that has been linked to the ability to reason through ill-structured problems. Although students’ performance on case analysis papers and a standardized measure and did not develop consistently, differential patterns of improvement based on initial levels of cognitive complexity suggest the importance of tailoring assignments to students’ beginning levels of reflective judgment. The author concludes with a wide range of recommendations for targeting developmental growth at the various stages of reflective judgment.

Many children in their preschool age have poor attention skills. These children usually pay less attention to the teacher’s instructions; they do have more difficulty to stay focused, stay on task and to complete their assignments. Fine arts, as a fun program can help children to pay more attention to the instructions, and stay more on task. Fine arts can be used as an inclusive and accommodating tool to develop attention skills in more preschoolers at different developmental stages and with different learning capabilities. Using interest and active engagement of children, parental involvement, and teachers’ efforts, children would become more attentive, responsive, motivated, and in return, better learners.
Since learners find writing in an L2 setting a big challenge, they come to class both to improve their language proficiency and become more confident in their writing abilities. Instruction should provide students with ample amounts of language input and instruction. The question of whether teachers should provide feedback on grammar in the writing assignments of ESL/EFL learners, and if so how, has been a matter of considerable debate in the field of SLA. Some researchers (e.g., Sheppard, 1992; & Truscott, 2007) claim that grammar corrections do not have a positive effect on the development of L2 writing accuracy. According to Truscott (2007), corrective feedback (CF) is seen as not only ineffective but also harmful. In contrast, other researchers (e.g., Bitchener & Knoch, 2008a; Chandler, 2003; Ferris, 2002; and Sheen, 2007) claim that CF is of value in promoting grammatical accuracy.

The author’s holistic thinking approach shows how to use three “foundation” questions—focusing on uniqueness, purposeful information, and systems—which must be explored for every problem. These three questions, an essential starting point for exploring problems, in turn lead to other key questions that will ultimately create effective solutions.
Regarded as a central part of Kapuscinski's work, these vivid portraits of life in the depths of Poland embody the young writer's mastery of literary reportageWhen the great Ryszard Kapuscinski was a young journalist in the early 1960s, he was sent to the farthest reaches of his native Poland between foreign assignments. The resulting pieces brought together in this new collection, nearly all of which are translated into English for the first time, reveal a place just as strange as the distant lands he visited. From forgotten villages to collective farms, Kapuscinski explores a Poland that is post-Stalinist but still Communist; a country on the edge of modernity. He encounters those for whom the promises of rising living standards never worked out as planned, those who would have been misfits under any political system, those tied to the land and those dreaming of escape.

Coketown is dominated by the figure of Mr Thomas Gradgrind, school owner and model of Utilitarian success. Feeding both his pupils and his family with facts, he bans fancy and wonder from young minds. As a consequence his obedient daughter Louisa marries the loveless businessman and "bully of humility" Mr Bounderby, and his son Tom rebels to become embroiled in gambling and robbery. And, as their fortunes cross with those of free-spirited circus girl Sissy Jupe and victimised weaver Stephen Blackpool, Gradgrind is eventually forced to recognise the value of the human heart in an age of materialism and machinery.
After a career on the rodeo circuit, Ben Sterling longs to settle down on his farm and start a family. Unfortunately, the only woman to spark his interest is the new owner of the local cafe. Getting her attention, however, won't be easy.Sissy Sue Bentley doesn't need another man in her life. From her alcoholic father to the men who were after only one thing, they are nothing but trouble. Except Ben keeps showing up whenever she really needs help. Sissy struggles to deny her growing feelings for him--and soon Ben's tender concern has her hoping for a happier future. But when her past comes barreling back into her life, it will take more than the love in Ben's heart to hold them together.
The children at Mr Gradgrind's school are sternly ordered to stifle their imaginations and pay attention only to cold, hard reality. They live in a smoky, troubled industrial town so entertainment is hard to come by and resentments run deep. The effects of Gradgrind's teaching on his own children, Tom and Louisa, are particularly profound and leave them ill-equipped to deal with the unpredictable desires of the human heart. Luckily for them they have a friend in Sissy Jupe, the child of a circus clown, who retains her warm-hearted, compassionate nature despite the pressures around her.
This book is meaningful contribution to the discussion about effectiveness of Public Work Programs (PWPs) in recent humanitarian and development work. It summarizes the key design elements of PWPs and matches them with different assignments that donors expect them to entail. Author is neither disputing the social effect of PWPs nor the potential of such program to create assets. The core of the book is how well could these objectives stay together. The answer is about trade-offs that needs to examined. Anyone who is interested in design of various mutations of top-down PWPs should not miss the opportunity to get familiar with them.

I decided it was important to say something to disabled students to help support them, so I compiled most of the required information that they need to succeed in academic life in America, such as adjustments, aid & services, standard tests, getting accommodation, housing, admissions, assignments, and classroom accommodation. I believe that reading about the university environment before beginning an academic journey is better than arriving unprepared. Most disabled students are unaware that they have protected rights and privileges. This book highlights the importance of a guide for special needs includes awareness, guidance, and a list of laws and rights, which would enable students to take advantage of them.

The economic achievement of the overseas Chinese in Southeast Asian countries is significant and highly remarkable. As the economy continues to globalize and the workforce moves across national boundaries, cultural diversity has become a substantial challenge. Differences in the foreign environment make leading and influencing people much more complex and challenging than in the domestic operation. This work focused its attention on expanding current understanding of the essential meanings of intercultural leadership experiences through the perspective of Chinese expatriates working in Thailand. The study contributes to help create a better understanding of intercultural leadership which may help global organizations that utilize international assignments, as well as the organizations, educational institutions, and HRD professionals who are responsible for career planning programs.
